Golden Sunset Holidays are based in Benllech, Anglesey, which is situated on the “green side” of the island and is consequently more sheltered. It is renowned for its miles of clean golden sands, safe bathing, boating and fishing.
Golden Sunset Caravan Park overlooks the bay with clear views towards the Great Orme, Puffin Island and the magnificent Snowdonia mountain range. The main caravan park is run as a private site with most of the 282 caravans and chalets being privately owned and the emphasis very much being aimed as a quiet family orientated site. Within the main part of the site we also have an area for 30 touring caravans.
The village of Benllech has a good range of facilities all within walking distance of the park.
Sports and Leisure
There are horse riding facilities nearby. Immediately adjacent to the site are tennis courts and a bowling green, and there is a golf course within two miles of the caravan park.
A particular feature to the site is that whilst having the benefits of the village on the one side it has an attractive cliff path for walkers between the site and the sea that stretches for miles.
The Anglesey Coastal Path mainly caters for walkers; cyclists and horse riders can also enjoy certain sections. It stretches for 130 miles or 200km around the island.
The Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path falls within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) which covers 95% of the coast. It passes through landscape that includes a mixture of farmland, coastal heath, dunes, saltmarsh, foreshore, cliffs and a few small pockets of woodland. This includes a National Nature Reserve (NNR).
