  • Kitchen Cook wanted

    We are looking for a cook to join the hospitality team, ready for the busy summer ahead.

    Someone who can prepare and plan for a variety of different events & customer needs. A team player who can instruct the waiting on team and food prep helpers. Happy to cook pizza, chips, burgers etc & comfortable with special menu initiatives and meal deals. Appropriate experience & certifications preferred.

  • Dyfrig Jones joins Cricket Wales

    Congratulations to Dyfrig Jones in his new role working for Cricket Wales.

    Dyfrig who is our Director of Junior Cricket, has started as Cricket Participation Officer for Anglesey and Gwynedd.

    He will be coaching cricket sessions in primary schools across Anglesey and Gwynedd and organising festivals to encourage participation and engagement.

  • Afternoon Tea at MBCC

    On the 28 March MBCC held it's first ever Afternoon Tea - and received rave reviews.

Croeso'r Cadeirydd Chairman's Welcome

This will be my fourth year as Chair, and I took over from my father who was Chair for over 20 years. It's an honour to be part of this great club which is a huge part of my life and my families.

I've played and been involved in the club for most of my life. First as a junior player, twelve years as first team captain, I've been a committee member since I was fourteen and now I'm Chair. I continue to play in the first team and coach various junior sides.

It's been incredible to be part of this small village club and see how far it's come. In 2005 building the clubhouse was a massive step which coincided with building the senior and junior teams. We desperately needed better facilities.

Looking back, I never thought we would outgrow the clubhouse, but here we are redeveloping the facilities and grounds with a significant £500k+ investment. This will safeguard the club for the future generations of the community and cricket lovers.

Menai Bridge Cricket Club is not only a stunning ground with spectacular views; it also has a vibrant atmosphere where guests and members are listened to and made welcome.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in Spring 2025. Come visit, come play, come use our excellent facilities.

Matthew Maynard reflects

When I first started playing cricket, Menai Bridge CC was where it happened.

Back in those days, the dressing rooms were a converted chicken shed that Taid
and his mates had somehow turned into a place to change and shower after the
game. How times have changed. What a difference nearly 50 years makes!!

When Sue and I saw the completed pavilion earlier this year we were blown away. It is a fantastic facility and one that all at Menai Bridge CC should be
incredibly proud of.

A friend of mine from Cardiff Cricket Club was up at MBCC recently and was very envious of the pavilion, saying that he would like to replicate it.

He may be able to replicate the pavilion but he’s got no chance of replicating one
of the finest views in world cricket!!

I wish the club the very best going forward, I can play my last game of cricket on the ground where I played my first.
