We are listening

We continue to listen to communities across Anglesey, Gwynedd and North Wales and have accommodated a variety of suggestions in to the improvements we are making at the ground. This supports the club's desire for the wider community to use our wonderful facilities alongside our cricket teams and social groups.

Community needs survey summer 2022

A community needs survey was conducted in the summer of 2022. Over 650 responses were received which showed high demand by local residents, sports clubs, community groups and local businesses to make more use of the facilities.
  • Over 80% strongly feel that Menai Bridge Cricket Club has a role to play in providing the community with access to indoor and outdoor space.
  • The most popular usage requirements are for social events, sports, activities, meetings and training for all ages, especially for children.
  • The most valued indoor facilities are licenced bar, large communal space, Wi-Fi, kitchen, free car parking, outdoor area, male, female and disabled toilets and changing; all of which have been included in our extended clubhouse.
  • Circa 80% stated they were ‘very likely’ to use the indoor facilities when these improvements are made.

Community consultation 2023/2024

We have consulted with many sports clubs, community groups and local businesses to understand their needs. Many have stated their intention to use the facilities for a range of reasons and several have asked for a storage facility.
